A late summer morning capture of a unique sky, colored by wildfire smoke. This shot lined up perfectly - the glassy wave of course, but what is really striking is the line leading to the wave from the smoke-filtered sun. This is a once in a lifetime image. Location: South Carlsbad State Beach, 2021. Historic feature: you can see the old smoke stack in the background.
Each Westphoria piece is made to order and printed on 9.5 Mil, 250 gsm premium-quality semi-glossy / luster photo paper with a resin coating that makes it feel thicker, heavier, and more durable than mass-marketed photo papers. The coating helps eliminate glare and visibility of fingerprints, so the ink colors come through vividly with no interference from smudges or smears.
Prints use a giclee printing process on color-calibrated Canon printers using aqueous pigment inks that resist fading for 100+ years.
Our premium solid wood frames come with optical-grade clear acrylic glass. Our mats are made from 4-ply white matboards with an attractive bevel at 45 degrees. The back of the frame includes a kraft paper dust cover. Hanging hardware included.
Everything is made and assembled in the US. Framed prints come fully assembled and ready to display on your wall.

Returns
Each Westphoria piece is custom printed and framed to order. We do not accept returns. However, if your piece is damaged during the shipping process or arrives with any imperfections, please contact us within 2 weeks of receiving your order and include images of the damage and box your order arrived in.
When I opened up my kitchen and renovated I also wanted to update the living room that is seen from the kitchen. There is a large, high wall there that called for a statement piece. My overall theme is the beach/ocean. When I saw this photo I wanted it for that wall and I wanted it larger! Todd was able to do that. The bright light of the rising sun on the water is amazing as is the deep blue wave. People ask me about it when they visit. They are delighted to learn that it is a shot taken at Carlsbad beach, the closest beach to my area. There is so much to look at in this photo. I find myself admiring it frequently - which is a sure sign of great art.

Gallery Quality, Ready to Hang
Our images are printed using professional Canon printers with a Giclee process on premium archival smooth matte fine art paper. This paper is great for high-quality fine art reproductions, photo printing, and open-edition decor. The heavyweight acid-free matte paper (230 gsm, 9.5 mil) supports accurate color reproduction, as well as high-contrast, high-resolution output. It also features an instant-dry coating that resists fingerprints and smudging. We use solid wood frames with optical-grade clear acrylic.
